Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology

Associate Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology is accredited by the Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET, //www.abet.org, under the General Criteria and the Program Criteria for Electrical / Electronic(s) Engineering Technology and Similarly Named Programs. 

Electrical - Electronics Engineering and Technology Program has achieved the ABET accreditation certificate of the ETAC committee with a term of 6 years from 2018

Program Educational Objectives

After working 2 to 3 years, the graduates will be able to:

1. A key contribute member in a team to install, manufacture, maintain, operate, repair and inspect products quality Electrical-Electronics systems in industry.

2. A key contribute member in a team to do technical and sales consulting for electrical and electronic equipment.

3. A key member of designing team in the field of electricity or electronics.

1. A key contributing member in a team to install, repair, operate, maintain and inspect products quality Electrical - Electronics systems - oriented industry 4.0.

2. A key contributing member in a team to do technical and sales consulting for Electrical-Electronics equipment on IoT platform.

3. A key member of the design team in the field of Electrical – Electronics.

Student Outcomes

After graduating from the Electrical -Electronics Engineering Technology program, students will:

1. Use modern tools to perform measurements and experiments in electricity for electric circuits, electronic devices, low voltage equipment

2.   Use the low voltage equipment.

3.   Analyze, design and implement basic applied electronic circuits.

4.   Apply effectively the soft –skills (teamwork skill, written report skill, planning skill, presentation skill) in working activities.

5.   Perform citizen responsibilities and the codes of professional ethics.

6.    Use of English in different contexts.

7.   Perform professional skills such as using hand tools skills, workplace arrangement skills, time management skills, and the implementation of safety measures.

INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICAL MAJOR

8. Install: the electrical - automatic control - measurement equipment, cable for the low voltage electric system, industrial machinery and production line.

9. Design: the low voltage electrical system, the electrical circuits in the industrial machinery and the automatic control system in production line.

10. Operating repair the damage in power supply networks, power systems, in industrial machinery, automation control systems in manufacturing.

INDUSTRIAL ELECTRONICS MAJOR

11. Make, do applied electronics circuits, applied power-electronics circuits for realistic work at workplace.

12.  Program application for 8-bit- programmable - electronic devices (PIC, PFGA, PLC (S7-1200, S7-300) and develop effectively support modules: Timer, ADC, PWM, serial, communication, and high rate counters

13. Build, configure computer network, which have medium size and combine with some industrial electronic devices to collect data for the identification, monitoring, analysis and optimization of the system.

1. Use modern measuring instruments to measure and analyze electrical parameters for electrical circuits, electrical - electronics equipment.

2. Use suitable electrical equipment in civil and industrial electrical systems.

3. Apply natural science and mathematics to the designing, building, and testing of electrical-electronics systems.

4. Apply soft skills in technical and non-technical environments.

5. Communicate, search and read specialized documents in English

6. Ability to function effectively in a team as a member of a technical team.

INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICAL MAJOR

7. Install, operate, and maintain civil and industrial electrical systems, and automatic control systems on the IoT platform.

8. Design power supply networks, electrical systems in industrial machines, automatic control systems in the production.

9. Measure and analyze the parameters of the power supply network, the power system in industrial machines, and the automatic control system in the production to offer appropriate improvement solutions.

INDUSTRIAL ELECTRONICS MAJOR

10. Design, build and improve electronics circuits for industrial applications.

11. Program industrial application using microcontrollers, programmable logic controllers, and efficient exploitation of embedded and IoT systems.

12. Build industrial communication network system for application in control, monitoring, data collection, analysis, and system optimization
